Vegan Restaurant in Tulum Mexico?!

Boy was I surprised when Steven told me he found a vegetarian restaurant in Tulum. We were even more surprised when we got there and found it was vegan. We were first greeted by a very cute but sassy doggy who barked her head off when we came in and then again every time we got up from the table. The owner Steve, was really nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed that there were 7 of us, even though there was no one else in the restaurant. We waited about 30 minutes for our food but it was totally worth it. I mean, come on, we were in Mexico, hanging out, no need to rush, although it would have been great if they had beer. Next time we will probably bring some! You can totally do that in Mexico.

I had a really nice plato mixto. Not Mexican fare but lovely. The kids had soy burgers and fries which were excellent and we had lemon/ginger water to drink. The kids didn’t love the soy-milk shakes but the mango smoothie was great. The seven of us ate a huge meal for 35$. It was a pleasure.
